I wanted to highlight every word. I used to do so much hosting and socializing in the "before times". The pandemic made me more aware of how much energy was constantly going out. One day, I realized I did not miss hosting social occasions in my home. At all. I have no plans on reverting to the old ways. I revere my peace and quiet and much prefer keeping things on the down low with a small group of friends who don't drain me, but even then, I'd still rather spend a weekend in solitude.
